COA
Certificate of Analysis — official document issued by an accredited laboratory, describing the exact chemical composition of a product from a physical sample sent to the laboratory. ND

Limit of Detection — the minimum threshold below which an analytical device can no longer detect a molecule. A result "< LOD" confirms the absence of the molecule at any technically measurable concentration.
LOQ
Limit of Quantification — the minimum quantity measurable with reliable precision. A result "< LOQ" indicates a tiny, unquantifiable trace. This is different from ND: the molecule could be present as a trace, but in an unmeasurable quantity with certainty.
HPLC
High Performance Liquid Chromatography — a reference analytical technique for measuring cannabinoid concentrations. It separates and quantifies each molecule precisely. This is the method used to measure CBD and THC levels on our COAs.
Batch ID
Batch Number — a unique identifier assigned to each production series. It is the link between your physical product and the corresponding certificate of analysis. Without an exact match between the Batch ID on your packaging and that on the COA, the analysis does not concern your product.

- ND (Not Detected) — the molecule is absent or in a quantity below the detection limit. For THC in a Broad Spectrum product, this is the only result compatible with consumption without risk of a positive saliva test.

What is the validity period of a CBD analysis certificate?
Technically, a COA does not have a formal expiration date. In practice, it is only valid for the batch to which it is linked. If a brand displays a COA dating back two years to sell you a product from a more recent batch, this analysis proves nothing about your product. Always demand a COA whose batch number exactly matches the number printed on your packaging.
Is a foreign COA valid for a CBD product sold in France?
Yes, on an analytical level, if the laboratory is accredited according to international ISO standards. But legal compliance is assessed against French law. A Swiss COA certifying 0.8% THC (legal in Switzerland) does not make the product legal in France, where the threshold is strictly 0.3%. Can a driver consume CBD and remain safe regarding tests?
